Flow Measurement

Magnetic flow meters measure conductive liquids using Faraday’s law of electromagnetic induction. They offer obstruction-free measurement, high accuracy, and minimal pressure loss, making them ideal for water, wastewater, slurries, and corrosive process fluids.

Transit-time ultrasonic meters measure flow by comparing upstream and downstream signal travel times. They provide non-intrusive, clamp-on installation options and are ideal for clean liquids and applications requiring minimal process interruption.

Turbine meters measure flow by detecting rotational speed of an internal rotor driven by fluid velocity. They provide excellent accuracy for clean, low-viscosity liquids and are commonly used in fuel transfer, batching, and custody-style measurement applications.

Coriolis meters directly measure mass flow by detecting vibration changes in sensor tubes. They deliver exceptional accuracy, density measurement capability, and independence from fluid properties, making them ideal for critical process control and custody transfer applications.

Vortex meters measure flow by detecting vortices created by a bluff body in the flow stream. They perform well with steam, gases, and liquids at high temperatures and pressures, offering stable measurement with low maintenance requirements.

Thermal mass meters measure gas flow by monitoring heat transfer between sensors and flowing gas. They provide direct mass flow measurement without pressure or temperature compensation and are commonly used in compressed air, natural gas, and process gas applications.

Differential pressure meters use a primary element such as an orifice plate, venturi, or flow nozzle to create pressure drop proportional to flow. They are widely used for steam, gas, and liquid applications requiring standardized, reliable measurement.

Positive displacement meters measure flow by trapping and counting fixed fluid volumes as they pass through the meter. They provide excellent accuracy for viscous liquids, low flow rates, and applications where consistent, repeatable measurement is critical.
